Maybe I DO Need to Get Out More

(Warning:  For some people this post may contain TMI)

I had my annual visit today.

The womanly annual.  You know which one I mean.

I really like my doctor.  She's been my doctor through 2 of my 4 pregnancies.  And, she delivered one of my boys (she would have delivered 2 but she was out of town when I went into labor and I got her backup).  She is smart, pretty, well dressed, personable, and funny.  She takes an interest in her patients' lives beyond the exam table.

So when I go to an appointment I want to look nice.

Today as I was blowdrying my hair and applying some makeup, I realized it was the first time this week that I used hairspray or makeup.  It was also the first time this week that I took longer than 30 seconds to pick out my clothes.

The thought occurred to me - If getting gussied up to go to the Gyno is the only time in the week I'm getting gussied up maybe I need to get out more.

It also reminded me of this funny story.....

  3. Funny! If it makes you feel better, I go out every day to work and I still don't blow dry my hair, put on makeup or spend more than 30 seconds picking out my clothes. I do spend those 30 seconds lamenting the fact that I'm not wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Thanks for the good laugh on this Friday Morning. I love your blog, Karen. We should have a girls night out sometime!
