Lurk No More

Apparently there is a term for those who read other blogs but haven't ever left a comment or followed the blog.  They are called 'lurkers'.  It sounds dark and sinister doesn't it?  But, truth be told, I would be a lurker too.  There are definitely blogs I enjoy reading on a regular basis but I haven't made my presence known by leaving any comments.

So it makes me curious.  Are there those of you out there reading this...even if it's just occassionally...who I haven't met yet?  If there are, I would love to meet you now!

If you have a second, go ahead and leave a comment introducing yourself.  I'd love to hear a little about you, how you found my blog, and if you have a blog please leave the web address.  I'd really like to stop by and visit you sometime.

And, to those of you who aren't 'lurkers'...those I've already 'met', I'd still love to hear how you originally found my blog.

Looking forward to making some new blog friends today!  Have an awesome Friday.

  1. Well I think I am a talker so I leave comments when I visit unless it is one of those mega blogs where there are 100's of comments and I am sure it wouldn't get read.
I don't remember how I came upon your blog..I know I visited because of the boys and I have five boys.
I know that I have a lot of visitors that don't leave comments...the sad thing is I can't ever tell them thank you...I also know many have joined and never come back to my site again...I don't understand the point of joining if you don't visit...I have removed myself from sites that I stopped visiting...and I did notice someone did that on mine and that is great.
Well I am still learning what all this is about and you have taught me a new term
Thanks for allowing me into your blogsphere

  4. I don't remember how I found you but I want to say it was a link on Thy Hand Hath Provided. Not sure though : ) And I loved the fact you embraced having boys as a blessing, our culture doesn't do that very often.

  5. I don't remember how I found your blog.
I just remember being intrigued by your title and then loved what you wrote in your profile.
I love your humor and I can relate to so much of what you talk about.
I think we would be fast friends in the same neighborhood or church.
I love what Melodie said about you embracing having boys- so true.
I am somewhat of a lurker because a lot of times, I will read and not comment- not because I don't want to, but because my computer is very s-l-o-w and it is not always easy to leave comments.
If I could speak them into a mike and hit send- it would be so much quicker-
wow- that actually sounds like something someone will invent soon - voice blog comments and I will whine that I invented it.
Or am I so computer immature that someone already has?
    Whichever, I love your blog.

  6. I don't exactly remember how...only b/c I tend to be forgetful these days and so busy with life that little details escape me quickly ... but I think you left a comment on my blog or did I find you before that? Oh well, regardless, I am so glad I did! I love reading about you and your sweet family ... so real and down to earth!!

  7. Hi Karen - I'm glad you're going to try the potatoes! I am definitely guilty of lurking, though not here at your blog - here, I speak after I read ;-) The places where I lurk instead of commenting tend to be bigger blogs where up to 100 comments get left, I don't really see the point in commenting unless it's reciprocal ...
ps - loved your Th'giving photos!

  8. and, oh yeah, I forgot to answer ... I found you b/c you found me ... which was after Jen's link-up party at Denton Sanatorium - either the "reality" one or the "family" one, I can't remember ... so it's Jen who is the link between us! We also have Dana, Kerri, Cindy, and Jen's Ink Pen in common as well ...
