Where Did the Time Go

My mom pointed out that my last entry was on June 18.  "Is that right?", she asked somewhat incredulously.

I hadn't really thought about it, but I guess I haven't posted on here and a really long time.  This summer has been keeping me hopping.  I do want to update you on the progress on our house project.  The outside isn't quite finished yet....but it's getting there!  Pictures to come!

In the meantime I have to share this funny little story.

We had a sleepover last night with 2 friends. This morning I made a special breakfast for the boys & one of our guests offered to pray. It went something like this...."Dear Jesus. Thank you for this food and please make it healthy to our bodies. (Long pause) ....even though chocolate chip pancakes aren't really healthy. But, please make them nourishment to our bodies anyway. Amen."

  1. Seriously so precious. Children's prayers are always the best. So innocent. I love to hear what they think is important. As I was making dinner for my best friends kids, their 5 year old daughter starts her prayer, "Dear Jesus, What's up? What have you been up to today? Wanna know what I was doing? Well you already know you silly goose!!" I tried so hard not to laugh during her precious prayer! From the mouths of babes! :)

  2. Karen - I know you've been busy this summer. Do you think that facebook has limited your time on your blog? I've noticed that from a lot of bloggers. I have to admit that I still like the more full posts in a blog than the randomness of facebook.

I think if my boys were praying during your chocolate chip pancake breakfast you would have heard a much different (and very thankful) prayer. good for you for providing such wonderful sleepovers for your boys and their friends!
